一、教材内容与方法分析
本节内容来自四年级下册,Unit6 Jobs的词汇部分。内容贴近小学生的生活和学习实际。通过生活实际的情境来学习有关职业的单词。本节课是本单元的第一课时,对整个单元的学习起着至关重要的作用。本节课的设计重点在于让学生学会认读新单词,teacher, doctor, firefighter, taxi driver, writer并且会用“ What do you do?” “ I’m a ...” “ What do you want to be?” “I want to be a...” 来谈论职业。以打招呼问候聊天的方式为情境,来了解职业,学习职业的单词和句型,用音频,图片,TPR等方式来激发学生学习兴趣,拓展延伸所学知识进行听说读写训练,培养学生综合语言运用能力。
二、教学目标与学情分析
对于四年级的学生,已掌握一定英语语言知识,提供一些语境,能够激发他们学习的热情与动力,敢于开口表达,喜欢表现自己。在教学中,学生乐于参与课堂互动,有利于教学。将课堂与实际相结合,学生积极性比较高。

2. Ability aims:
Ss are able to listen and read the job words and able to talk about jobs.
3 Emotional aims:
Ss are glad to apply the structure to talk about jobs. Ss are able to know the culture taboos about chatting.

Teach the word teacher.
Make a survey of students what their mom, dad or aunt do?
Lead to the topic jobs.
Step 2 Presentation
Gogo and Jenny are waiting at the bus stop, they are chatting with strangers.
Gogo: Hi! My name’s Gogo! Where are you going?
A: Hello, Gogo. I’m going to the hospital.
Gogo: What do you do?
A: I’m a doctor.
Teach the word doctor.
Then Gogo asks a man
Gogo: What do you do?
B: I’m a firefighter.
Teach firefighter
( Design purpose: Create the greeting context to ask jobs, Ss are able to learn job words in structures.)
Game : Play music and answer questions
What do you do ? I’m a teacher , a doctor / a firefighter
The same way to teach a taxi driver/ a writer.
Step 3 consolidation
1. Sing a song “ what do you want to be?”
