DCDC_COREAVDD_ANARDA5891 integrated RF front-end tuner and channel demodulator in one chip to service china mobile multimedia broadcast system. RF front-end tuner support U band TV receive capacity which integrated all RF components such as LNA, Mixer, RF PLL, and Filter. RDA5891 integrates all demodulate modules include the memory required, with less external components needed in application circuit. Two solutions offered, RDA5891 with external UAM module, and RDA5891U integrated UAM module SIP on the same package.

2 Functional Description

On-chip RF front-end tuner circuit receive CMMB U band RF signal and down-convert to baseband signal. CMMB channel demodulator decoder the signal from RF front-end tuner , and save to on-chip memory, then inform external processor. Channel demodulator components include synchronization, FFT, bit descramble, equalization, bit demap, bit deinterleaving, LDPC decoder, byte deinterleaving, reed-solomon decoder. PMU module intergrated LDO, dc/dc converter. No external power components needed, only battery supply.

ARM core in charge of the timing of RF tuner, CMMB channel, and communication with the baseband chip. Multiple interfaces supported to provide control and data interface with external processor.
