摘要：A method of manufacturing particles, especially nanoparticles, comprisesprecipitation from solution on a rotating surface 1 of a rotating surface reactor.
Nanoparticles with a tight size distribution may be manufactured in bulk and without theproblems of agglomeration that are associated with traditional stirred-tank reactors. Useof a rotating surface reactor allows precipitation of nanoparticles from viscous,supersaturated solutions by way of homogeneous nucleation aided by strong
micromixing. The technique can also be used to manufacture particles of predeterminedshape or hollow particles.
