Bamboo MediaCasting

Founded in 2000, Bamboo MediaCasting is a provider of two platforms for the delivery of rich media content to mobile subscribers.

The first is called SilverStripe. High quality rich media infotainment content such as ringtones, images, audio and video clips can now be pushed at the background even at off-peak hours to the mobile subscribers.

Background push means that once a user subscribe for a content channel, the content is delivered to the handset without user being

involved. Background delivery guarantees immediate access to content (no waiting time) and high quality of rich media since file size is not limited due to download time. It is a Client - Server application.

Some of the applications running on the platform such as:

• ClipTV – Video clips (news, weather, sports, etc.) sent to the mobile user in the background.

• TopTones – Preview the latest ringtones on your handset and install any tone on the list with a single click.

• HotStuff – Adults' content brought to the user easily. Preview and Pay Per View content, in addition to the subscription fee. • MobiNews – mobile interactive newspaper / magazine

• MyTeam – sports' fans get the latest action (goals, statistics, etc.) The second platform is called BlueFountain. It includes all the SilverStripe capabilities but also enables radio multicasting of the

content. Multicast enables simultaneous delivery of the same content, over a shared radio to a pre-defined group of users, instead of today repeated point-to-point delivery. Bamboo is the first company in the world offering such a solution. System is running LIVE in few cellular operators, including Vodafone and Orange. Solution uniqueness:
